The following data is aggregated across the total number of crypto casinos above.

New Bitcoin Casinos Over Time

In 2017, The Bitcoin Strip had an explosion in new Bitcoin and cryptocurrency casinos as we worked to add pre-existing casinos to our database. Since then, growth has continued to tick upwards.

Crypto Banking Methods

We launched as a Bitcoin casino aggregator but soon came to realise that there was a huge interest in altcoin gambling. While Bitcoin remains the dominant cryptocurrency for banking, other currencies – particularly stablecoins – have seen a significant increase in their availability at crypto casinos.

Pure Crypto vs Fiat/Crypto Banking

This pie chart above compares cryptocurrency-only casinos with casinos that offer both traditional fiat and cryptocurrency banking methods.

Anonymous Registration vs KYC

Cryptocurrency casinos are known for enabling anonymous gambling, however not all casinos provide a high degree of anonymity. The above pie chart shows the split between “no registration” casinos (no details at all), anonymous casinos (no personal details) and “know your customer” (KYC) casinos (personal ID required).

Casinos with Provable Fairness

Provably fair gaming is one of the most important considerations for Bitcoin players. A significant proportion of crypto casinos offer provably fair games and we expect this to increase over time.

It’s no surprise that esports betting markets are a fan favorite among Bitcoin and cryptocurrency players. There is a significant overlap between the esports and cryptocurrency markets with a demographic of mostly young males who are technically savvy. This overlap is so strong that nearly all the crypto-accepting sports betting sites offer esports markets.

Of course, traditional sports betting with Bitcoin is still a major draw and many of these markets can be found in the table above.
