Why Has NFT become The New In Thing?

NFT definitely have its place, and with the chance to personalize the offering, it provides celebrities with the creative playground they need to add their touch and increase the demand. From the Bitcoin price is the thing to watch, to now, when famous faces are constantly coming out with personalized NFT experiences for crypto enthusiasts to incorporate into their digital worlds.

The NFT first came about thanks to the ever-popular trend of cat videos and searches on the web. In 2017, the first wave took place when a game developer known as Dapper Labs came on the scene with the offer of CryptoKitties.

CryptoKitties was a game that allowed cat lovers to buy, collect, breed, and sell virtual kittens. With virtual kittens selling for as much as 246 ETH (about $113,000). With such lucrativeness in the offer, it became the perfect form of merch for people who are huge fans of famous faces.

In today’s day and age, digital assets are just as valuable as physical assets. With the world the way it is, with the constant threat of global pandemics, people have shifted their attention to virtual entertainments and offerings, which brings us back to the popularity of NFTs.

A non-fungible token can give people access to exclusive events, artwork, tracks, collections, and much more. These offers are often the only of it’s kind, making the fan feel that much more special.
